Chile issues Exempt Resolution 1247, modifying and consolidating previous regulations regarding the certification of short-range equipment.
Through Exempt Resolution No. 1247, dated July 3, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of Chile on July 10, 2026, the Undersecretariat of Telecommunications (SUBTEL) of Chile has amended Exempt Resolution No. 1985 of 2017 and consolidated the most recent resolutions issued regarding the certification of short-range equipment.
In accordance with the new Resolution, this consolidated text—which merges recent regulations, partial amendments thereto, and adaptations to align terminology with ITU standards, and expressly repeals Resolution No. 755 of 2005, among other changes—is presented in a more orderly and systematic manner, thereby facilitating its review and compliance by manufacturers and importers.
